Installation
==================================
To setup the project:
1. Goto web.config to change the following:
	a. connection string under <connectionString><add name="Default"..., make sure you give a db_owner account to the program, at least during setup.
	b. Your smtp host if you want to test the invitation feature
	c. InitApp tag details: change IsRunInit will allow/disallow initialization script, AdminUserName for the default admin account to be created, and then AdminPassword for password of the default admin account.

The project use *.ashx as the monorail extension as it does not require special IIS setup, which makes the project more hosting friendly.

You may walkthru the NVelocity and Css files to see if you want to change the styling of page.

After you have set everything up, run the project (or install it within IIS as a new web site/web application), then goto the URL:
http://(yourhostname:port)/(VirtualDirectory)/Setup/Run.ashx

This will initialize the setup process. When you have finished setup you might want to goto web.config to modify the IsRunInit flag under InitApp so that no other users could trigger the setup routine again. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT IF YOU WANT TO HOST THE PROJECT IN PUBLIC.


Binary only packaging
==================================
If you want to run the project without including the .cs file, use 
	nant copy-web 
to package the files into a folder called build under the root of trunk. 

Work on the project using Visual Web Developer Only
===================================================
If you want to work on the project using all free tools (i.e. Visual Web Developer + SQL2005 Express), its completely feasible. I have included a NANT build file which would allow you to compile the project in a single binary (essential for monorail based project). In order to edit the project, simply use VWD to open the project folder Gearblog.Web, do all the modifications, then use the NANT script to build and execute the project in VWD. Debugging will also work, the only limitation is your code editor would not realize any new class/method until you use the nant script to build the library again.
